This topic looks at the production of the organic fertiliser struvite as an alternative use for the liquid fraction of digestate and manure. Struvite is a slow-release renewable recovered fertiliser that is high in key nutrients. The benefits of producing struvite for farmers and the economy and the current legislation on their use are discussed. This topic will focus on the EIP-AGRI Operational Group Struvite from Italy as a case study.
